I'm not sure if this will help or not but do u have Messenger set to Higher Efficiency in Imon? If so u may want to change it to Higher Compatibility.

BTW, did the changes u made come from this thread?

Hi there, NOD32 has no effect on Messenger and its ability to send or receive messages. The settings within the Tutorial that you have been pointed to only have NOD32 check incoming file transfers.

Are you sure you simply haven't checked a box in Messenger that you are away/do not disturb or something like that?

    Cheers :D

Also, are you using the plain Windows Live Messenger, or do you have some add-ons installed (like Messenger Plus! Live)?

    Hi All,
Yes this is the thread I was directed to: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=37509
and my windows has stoped since I've followed this?
I've checked my settings on messenger and nothing seems to have changed otherwise...
Kjempen, yes I only have the plain windows live messenger :)
Do I have a case of the computer phamtom strikes again :)

    Thanks for helping...

I'm afraid nothing more than a coincidence, as that thread does not adjust anything that could affect messenger.

The only single reference to messenger is this one post.

Do you use a Firewall such as ZoneAlarm? If so please check that Messenger has internet connection rights.

    Cheers :D

Afraid I don't use a firewall. Nothing else has changed. Fine prior to the changes, right after I made them it stopped :(
Thankyou for the help.. I've been trying the windows messenger help section as well which isn't helping either...
It is just a pain in the bum...I rely on messenger to talk with clients rather than make a STD phone call (cheaper for us both).

    THanks again.
