Windows Live Mail Problems

    I have Windows 7 and Live mail for E Mail. All of a sudden it will not connect to the E Mail server. I am on Att Dsl. I have tried resetting my passwords and that doesn't work. I can get to the server by going to ATT.com and putting in my username and password. It seems that Live Mail is sending the wrong password or my router or modem is messing it up. Any ideas?

    Using at&t myself, I would suspect the problem would be the with their network if nothing else has changed.

    I do know they do "periodic maintenance" and you will lose your connections. Most of the time, this will cure itself after a short period of time.

    Another common issue is your ISP does not have the same password that you are using. It may be ATT need to be called to verify if their stored password matches yours.

    This morning it is fine. I don't understand. I haven't changed anything from yesterday so why is it now working? So if it isn't broken I can't fix it.

    I have been having connection problems with windows live , for about 2-3 weeks. I can close the program, immediately re-open and its fine. I first thought it was because it was sandboxed, but this was not the case. Sorry i have no answers.

    On this computer, that has Live Mail,which is my wife's it's not sand boxed.

    I had an intermittent issue with Thunderbird. Please call your ISP.

    I have called ATT. and we determined that the password I was using was correct. I think that I know what happened. I believe that someone had gotten our ID and password. We were getting some strange (Failure to deliver ) notices. I changed the password. Possibly they kept trying to use the old password causing ATT. to lock access.
