    Hi!
I looked for this problem in the forum but can´t find.
I have a problem when I try to run- update (and when windows starts up) spyguard and blaster. I have unistalled both and installed again but the problem persists. On start up and when I try to run or update the programs, the Windows Office instaler window pops up and asks for the cd; then, I cancell the process, but it retries 4-5 times more and then closes. After this, both programs run fine. I only happens with this programs, and never happened before installing them.
    Does anyone know what´s wrong?
    Thanks
    Cheers
    Juan

    Hi jtabos,

    Welcome at Wilders. :)

This error usually occurs when the install of Office was not completely finished or ended with an error.

Uninstalling and re-installing Office should solve it.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Juan,

Yes, it is. But I'm no programmer. I just learned this from experience.
So I really have no idea.

    And you're welcome. :)

    Regards,

    Pieter

I also have the same Windows INstaller problem when booting up. If I uninstall MS Office in roder to reinstall it to fix the problem, will I lose all of my MS Excel and Word files?

You shouldn't as they shouldn't be saved in with the program, but rather in some place apart, like MyDocuments. If in doubt, make backup copies on removable media prior to uninstalling Office.
