Defender Beta 2 does not solve a problem which existed in the Beta 1 version.

Defender recognizes a "run once" key for "load at startup," inserted into the registry for a particular security program at log off, and alerts the user. However, after setting the rule in Defender to allow this change, Defender does not "remember" this rule, and alerts the user every time it happens which is, at a minimum, once a day.

Still a waste of hard drive space imo.

I was never able to install MSAS off-line.
Does MS Windows Defender (beta or not) still have that bad habit o_O

    Hi Erik,
By off-line do you mean without network connectivity during installation or without real-time protection after installation?

Yes I mean installing Windows Defender without being on-line. Modem OFF.
What happens AFTER installation doesn't matter.

    Nevermind, it doesn't really matter.
This was one of the reasons, why I ditched MSAS. Most probably Windows Defender has the same problem.
A2 Free and probably A2 Paid too have the same problem. So I ditched A2 Free too.

In my case, it acts as a scanner on demand, nothing in real time (the fool insist on running it's service, without any relation to real-time protection status, but it's was taken care of ;) ).
