Recently I've upgraded my PC. Part of the upgrade was switching to Windows 7. After installing ESS, I disabled the windows 7 firewall. Or maybe ESS did, I can't remember.

Anyway, I came across a forum-thread that said it was not necessary to disable the windows firewall, since a third party firewall can selectively disable parts of the windows 7 firewall that the third party software (windows 7 compatible) is handling.

What is the ESET's take on this?

maybe some fw bother to tinker with windows equivalent but generally they either disable or leave it on. Either way it works fine.
