windows 7 beginner question

    hi, i am brand new to windows 7 and haven't used windows since xp. my dad has a new laptop with windows 7, he is new to computers. is the default FW ok to use without changing any settings on a laptop? thanks :)

    Yep, the W7 firewall is just fine for anybody who doesn't belong to Wilders.:D He'll be fine.

    great, thanks for the help, DB :cool: i'm trying to get him to understand noscript and sandboxie so hopefully he won't be downloading malware trying to call home.
