A friend just bought a Dell 9000. I noticed the Recovery partition is Primary, System, Active. So it contains the boot files.

Do others have the same partition layout? How do you plan to image/restore with the boot files not in the OS partition?

My new Alienware Aurora had that configuration until I deleted all partitions and installed Windows 7 without the Dell trash. All my imaging and instant system recovery works fine after the exorcism.
