Yes, that's exactly what I've concluded about 10, nothing I need and a LOT I don't want. I am basically totally frustrated with 10, so I'm done I guess. I could return to 7, but I'd have to clean install it again and I'm not sure it's worth the effort to maintain it. Turning updates off might help. I'm using Linux for now, I guess because I don't really need Win for anything important and Linux gets the job done for me reasonably well. I've used Windows and Office all my life, but I've never seen the likes of what's coming out of MS these days. Pretty wild. :)

Well I am about to switch back to my 10 image to play abit, but I have my 7 images to go back to. Makes going back and forth painless.

That's what I've been doing for months.. since 10 arrived. It IS easy to just swap one or the other in and play. I'm gonna have to wait and see what happens with 10. I can't seem to use the current build from November without all kinds of issues... even wifi connectivity problems. Things that were fine in the released version from July.

Or multi-boot. Win7, Win8, Win10, Win10 ver 1511. I have no issues with ver 1511 and I prefer it over the previous version.

At least there will still be torrents, and websites such as Get Into PC, to download Windows !0 ISOs from. On my primary laptop, I had to upgrade to Threshold 2 from an ISO, I was unable to upgrade with Windows Update.

Probably the only reason that they removed 1511 iso is that it does not create the recovery partition that allows users to rollback to their previous version of windows if they changed their mind.
What I do not understand though is why MS does not explain this in their official comment. o_O
Could it be, that windows 10 does not go so well as they hoped/predicted and the higher-ups are starting to panic?

Those who still has the November version of the Media Creation Tool can still create ones own installation media DVD or USB flash drive. Assuming you haven't already, or wanting the other edition besides.

I've made Windows 10 x64 DVD for the November release. However I hadn't gotten around to making the x86 copy before they pulled the November version of the Media Creation Tool. Only just earlier today that I've noticed I still had the Media Creation Tool for the November release. I've made the DVD and updated a computer, and verified its the November release.

The initial Windows 10 release. I've upgraded easily my old, slow Netbook PC running Windows 7 starter. Also effortlessly upgraded a family member's Acer tablet from Windows 8.1 to 10.

I have upgraded several Windows 7 and 8 PCs to the initial Windows 10. Almost all of them went smoothly. One Windows 7 desktop, after 'upgrading' to the initial Windows 10. The person's Microsoft Edge browser wouldn't play flash even though Flash was set to permit. This same system also at random times when booting, didn't have no Internet access.

With the November release, I've observed some issues. Upgrading my Netbook from initial 10 to November release went so smoothly. Several desktops been upgraded from the initial 10 to November release, and no problems. However.., one person's computer upgraded from 8.1 to initial 10, trying to install the November release would continue to fail around 98 – 99% completion. Twice via Windows Updates, once via 'Upgrade' button on the Windows 10 site. Another attempt with the created Windows DVD disk. This computer didn't have no inserted SD card, so it wasn't because of the known issue.

Acer tablet that was upgraded from 8.1 to initial 10, also failed via Windows Updates.

With the Windows 10 Media I've made today, upon installing and upgrading from initial Windows 10. I've been served "If you install this version of Windows 10, you won't be able to go back to Windows 7. Do you want to continue?"

My speculation.. perhaps they pulled the November utility and ISOs because people finally upgrading straight from previous Windows to 10 November release. This Nov release ' might ' not handle the previous Windows backing. Based on that prompt screen, I guess it breaks restoring to initial Windows.

@Krusty13 You couldn't hold down the power button for a few seconds to force it to power off?

Roger, I tried that but as soon as I pressed the Power button again it went back to the Shutting Down screen.

@Krusty13 Maybe you didn't keep it pressed for long enough.

Some issues I've found with Threshold 2:
Sometimes when I click on the Windows icon, the Start Menu won't show. However, pressing the Windows key seems to always work.
After upgrading, some my installed software was no longer registered. This must have something to do with the upgrade process, and woudn't have happened if the Threshold 2 was applied like a Service Pack, rather than an upgrade. For the programs I've found so far which had become unregistered, I was able to enter the serial again and they were registered. This could have been an issue, since just about all the retail software I've got installed on my laptop I got as giveaways, there could have been the posibility that the free registration details were no longer accepted. However, I haven't got the time to open 100 apps to see if they are still registered, so it's possible I coud have issues at some point.

Other than those two issues, Threshold 2 is working well. I'm not noticing much difference compared to the previous build, but perhaps RAM usage is lower.

You should have counted slowly ... to 7 or however long it takes the computer power light to turn off. ;p

The only problem I had with TH2 was that all my games are now stuttering and lagging and nothing I do seems to fix it. I tried reinstalling graphics driver, direct x, disabled xbox app, and sfc say there is no system file corruption.

I think I'll have to wait for the next update to see this problem solved. if anyone has any idea of what else I can try, please tell me.
