One machine updated normally with a simple reboot, the other was more erratic, namely after rebooting to the desktop I thought that's it but after some time the CPU started to to run at 35-40 % continuously which has never happened before when idle (it is an Intel core i7). I decided to restart the machine and to my surprise it continued to update with the typical "don't turn off the computer, Windows is updating". This time around was final though.

This link contains beta version for IE, not sure if it applies to Edge. http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html There is also a normal version, but not for IE, but the installer is screwed. I use beta only, it gets released more often anyway.
hi i forget about it i have to download it and istall it and use it! can you download the beta flash player via minitool?
for edge = Flash Player is integrated with Microsoft Edge in Windows 10. You do not need to install Flash Player. https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-10-edge.html and explorer = http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/adobe_flash_player.html http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/adobe_flash_player_uninstaller.html https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html
hi TairikuOkam , seeing you have upgrade to anniversary update , may i know what update to you install for w10? hi Anon thanks !
Windows shows, I have those 4 installed, but you still need the anniversary update beforehand. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3197954 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3176936 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3199209 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3199986 AU: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12387/windows-10-update-history WUMT shows only 2 installed updates, probably because I was testing a normal WU when installing the other 2.

I read this article, and though it's superficially reassuring that mitigations were improved re: Edge, still I cannot bring myself to use it! Does anyone else get an error or two in event viewer when it's opened? I still don't think Edge is truly, truly stable, I trust my gut instincts.
Ah, OK, yes it's there but wow, it's obscure. I see that's why it was run during auto maintenance. Thanks for info.
thanks TairikuOkami it's sad that if i install the last w10 update , my paid software mostly adobe start to crash or work but in an insane way, the adobe forum it's full of lamentations and protests TairikuOkami may i know why don't you have installed anniversary update ? what issues have you? thanks
I use Edge solely for watching YouTube videos, and always have it open. It allows me to only sign into Google in Edge, and not my primary browser, as other than for YouTube, I have no need to ever be signed into Google. I find that as well as being very fast when scolling through webpages, Edge is very stable. I have never checked for errors in Event Viewer, (I never open Event Viewer anyway), but I couldn't care less if there were some errors there or not. Edge doesn't crash, that's all that matters to me.
I can't shake the connection with Internet Explorer, having had an exploit via flash player there a while ago. Edge is a very fast and clean browser, I'm just itching to use it more. Maybe I'll give a little, not be so meek and timid.
is dangerous no update flash for windows explorer seeing integrated with Microsoft Edge ? seeing all the apps included in windows 10 ? i use firefox and chrome , but and keep flash plugin updated ,but again all the windows 10 built in app , all the app i can download , they should use firefox flash ,right? thanks
Security wise approach is to install all updates. Performance wise approach is to think twice and to listen others before you update. Choice is yours. Btw, all the Friday's patches (KB3199986, KB3201860 and KB3197954) installed without a hitch.
Pegas , i know but after the anniversary update , several program (i paid for them) they or don't work or they crashes , i have visited the forum and flood by the same request to fix all these isses Pagas what should i do ? re-install the anniversary update and don't work with these programs? i restored an image prior installing anniversary update , i would like to keep updating without anniversary update , can i ? thanks
If you want to have AU, you should start it from the scratch, i.e. to do a clean installation of AU. But after that you will have to install all apps again.
All 3 versions of Windows 10 are still being updated, so no need to hurry to update to AU. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12387/windows-10-update-history https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet
