Window Active

    What Is Window Active..?... i think it installed itself with windows plus upgrade.. but... i dont konw... so what is goin on, and is it safe to get rid of... i havnt ran adaware or spybot yet.. but.. this is the first thing i thought of.. actually just thought about it right now

    This is the only thing I could find on a google search about window active. It does not sound like what you are looking for but it is all that came up. Sorry I couldn't be of more help :(

    If it's what I think it is, it's a LOP parasite variant.

    Please do the following:
    Go to http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/ , and download 'Hijack This!'.
    Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

    When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
    Press that, save the log somewhere, and please show us its contents.

    Most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
    Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.
