I am having continual problems with windows closing down due to Windows explorer problems. Even on fresh boot i will sometimes get message that windows has encountered a problem and needs to close, this may happen 5 times before it will start. Also it occurs intermittently when opening other programs. Here is log of HijackThis v1.97.7.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Hi ivt,

Next time you get the error could you copy the details and post them?
There is nothing wrong with your log, so we will need a different angle of tackling your problem.

As a starting point, a lot of errors and the cure are listed here:
    http://www.generation.net/~hleboeuf/errexplo.htm

That should also give you an idea of what exactly we need form the error report.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi ivt,

You can try making a Boot Disc from here, and see if it will help your computer to start up.

This page at Microsoft's may help with some of the errors you are getting with windows wanting to restart. It's worth a try.

    regards,

    snap
