    Hey,

I have upgraded to win7, all works fine but when I uninstalled nod32 (to install MSE) it suddely is way slower on startup. Its stuck at the "welcome" screen much longer than before. Anyone know what may be the problem, something that didn't get uninstalled properley?

open event viewer (type event into search program an files) after it's loaded there should be an open sector with boot degradation (if it's that slow) click more details it should show you what is causing the problem. post it back.

MSE is native to Win 7, therefore

Really? As in "installed by default? Assuming MSE is Microsoft Security essentials then I don't believe that is the case.

I'm running ESET on about a dozen Win7 PCs, none had MSE installed. Defender, yes, but not MSE.
