    Somewhere along the way I downloaded eAnthology's Stopsign anti virus scanner.
    Stopsign has detected Backdoor theef 111 and Win32.Magistr.24876 on my computer somewhere in the system restore section.
    I've since run Norton, and a couple of other anti virus and trojan specific detectors/removers. None of them have detected backdoor theef or Win32.Magistr.24876
    How can I remove this trojan or indeed can I be sure it is there?
    (Please note: I am a beginner computer user)

    Do yourself a favour and please get rid of Stopsign:

    The best you can do is uninstall it and download Adware or Spybot S&D from our download section and get rid of all the spyware.
    I would not worry too much about the reports from StopSign, because these are well-known false positives this program reports.
