I will not use it because I'm sticking with XP. I don't really care if that's the real interface, but I voted "yes".
That's what I call...well, never mind what I'd call it. I just have to wonder if that statement was the result of being a fanboy as well.
I will not be using or trying IE9. All but one of my Windows OS has had IE removed. The only MS software I'm using is the operating systems themselves, all of them stripped of excess components and modified.
I've got IE8 set up just the way I like it. I hope it's not going to be a major headache transferring my privacy settings over to IE9. Wait & see...
Thanks for the url. It says it won't be available for XP. I wonder if that's just for the beta, or the final release too.
twl845, you're welcome! Every thing I have read informs me that XP will not be part of IE9's final plan. Re: Windows XP: No IE9 for you.
Well that eliminates my deciding whether to download it or not. I can see what they mean just looking at the prospective home page layout. It has a Vistaish look to it. I'm still not buying a new computer with WIN7 for about a year, so I'll be keeping my IE8 albatross until then.
Come to think of it not that many that aren't already built in. Heh heh. Mind you i do update weekly the ADBlock Plus filter subscriptions to my in-private filtering settings. See here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=280008 starting from sixth post. ignore the rambling at the start of the thread. I claim no credit for the original filter updates - just thought I'd spread the love etc
I loved IE, I used IE7 since alfa version, besides daily craches, till IE8, but I moved to Chrome and I am not looking back. I am no longer going to excuse IE for mistakes, when I have all I need in Chrome (like syncs on any PC for bookmarks, all settings and exts, updated flash, simplicity and security without any extra effort). But, I might look at IE9.
That interface has no title bar text, no status bar, and lacks too many other things to be real. I do plan on using it, unless that actually is the interface.
I would have voted, but I don't understand the "Yes It is" & "No It isn't" parts of the poll. To answer, yes I will use IE9.
have something else to say today the day IE9 has born and no question a big impact in the web browsing war
I just installed it to run alongside Firefox 4.0 Beta 6. I had previously uninstalled IE8 (under Windows 7, Programs and Features, Turn Windows features on or off), so this is a clean install. My initial response is favorable.
mine too, this is an awesome first beta release i cant wait for the next spring to have the final stable official version, but right now this thing is fast and i love the way it handle the web pages.
