Will Ubuntu 8.10 update to 9.04 or will I have to get a new ISO?

    Will it auto update or do I have to go and burn a new ISO and copy it over 8.10o_O

    I dont think it will autoupdate, I dont think people would like that :)

    But you will have a notification button in update manager that tells you that there is a new version and you can click that to upgrade.

    I ran update manager manually a couple of days ago, and did the upgrade to RC. It took about 30 minutes and after the reboot it was there. The upgrade was painless, this RC is very stable.

    Main menu-system-update manager. When 9.04 becomes final, you should see a message about the distro upgrade.

    Didn't know it would upgrade to the RC.

    Yes, just run in terminal:
    update-manager -d

    And you'll see a notification that there is a new version. I just clicked that and the update started.
    I thought I might do that now already, maybe the servers gets slow when everyone tries to get it.
    I'm told that RC will upgrade to the final version eventually.

    Sorry the update bubble is what I meant by auto update. :p Thanks for letting me know I can do it that way.
