    Good evening.

Less than one month ago I bought two Prevx 3.0 licenses (I use it as a layered approach, as Prevx can work with other AV products).

So far, so good. I ran a few tests and it performs as it should.

But today, while I was searching for information regarding a Heuristic detection warning, I stumbled upon this forum - which I assume some members are from the Prevx - Webroot team itself - and read some posts where it was clear that Prevx will be discontinued, and the users will supposedly be migrated to other security solution from Webroot.

My questions are, when will the Prevx solution be discontinued? Is the current Prevx solution 100% supported, or are there some features no longer supported? For instance, I can't login into "My Prevx", I was able to register but when I try to login it returns me to the main Prevx web page.
Will the security solution we will be migrated to be able to work with another AV products, as Prevx is, or will it be a standalone security solution that is not able to work with another AV solution?

    Kind Regards.

Prevx users are still fully supported and will be upgraded to Webroot SecureAnywhere which still works alongside other security solutions if desired. MyPrevx will be replaced with the equivalent in SecureAnywhere.

    Hope that helps!

Yes you can use it alongside something else. But it is also possible to run it on it's own wich is what I recommend.

Yeah right:rolleyes: Try running it alongside AVs like EAM and you'll see them conflicting here and there. Upon confronting the Support of WSA they came up with the idea of 'you have too many AVs together'. Duh! :isay: I believe WSA is more than enough to protect as standalone. And it should be taken seriously not to be considered only as a companion product as it undermines the protection capability of WSA and hence the hard work of Joe and all the WSA team.

I agree but Webroot try there best to make WSA to work with other AV's and AM's but sometimes it's impossible for some users but not all!

Our goal is to be able to run alongside every security product, even though WSA definitely stands on its own. I suggest trying it again if you haven't tried the most recent versions as we've made several compatibility improvements.

Okay if you say so. But you would know I'm only an average user and I can only tell conflicts by what I see and understand. Some I can report and some I cannot. And even among few reported conflicts, support teams of both products could not identity(that is as you guys put it reproduce in your pcs- oh I hate that because some problems may occur to my particular system only and there is no one to offer any solution because they could not reproduce) the prob and offer any solution. That's why I'm against companion AVs and think WSA is strong as standalone.

By since you're assuring me I'm gonna give another shot. :)

    Hello.

I don't want to do that for obvious reasons, it would destroy the layered approach.

I didn't buy Prevx because it was the best standalone AV solution available, which it isn't. I bought it because it was one of the few solutions that would work with other AV solutions, and so far it has worked quite well at it.

Redundancy is the key, and compatibility was one of their major (if not the major) selling point.

    Regards.

Then you'll be fine with WSA as a replacement for Prevx :)

O.k., but what with Prevx Csi Free 3.0
Will this product work regular always ?
Will be connected to the cloud base like before, and work in the same way ?

Does Prevx csi free 3.0 has the same cloud base like newer webroot product ?

I think Prevx CSI was dropped in favour of Prevx 3, which is still available, but that has now been superseded by Webroot SecureAnywhere. The database structure and other technologies used within the earlier products and WSA are vastly different. I would recommend you give WSA a try.

I'm in no way interested in produscts that cost.

I got .exe from Prevx 3, and want info only for that.
Is cloud for prevx 3.0 FREE good and updated (connected) like before ? And how much more time will be ?

The prevxcsifree.exe download will continue for as long as the Prevx website remains in operation. There has been no indication yet when any of that will change. Eventually the Prevx domain and all its services will go away.
