"Wildcard Characters" Tutorial

Where can I find one?

To configure my security softwares, it is extremely essential that I have good knowledge of using wildcard characters.

Not really much more to it than that. Is there is specific program or area you had in mind ?

 

If you go down that route, you might also consider learning the verbage of 'regular expressions'. I really struggle with them, but they are extremely powerful. I wish they were in more common use when I started learning stuff. Now I often resort to known things relating to common wildcards or string manipulation because it is faster to produce code for. But learning from the ground up would be a great time to get into 'regular expressions'.
