Why NOD32 update everyday necessary ?

    Everyday I do manual update(because F/W blocks all unless I allow it), it takes request well, but why does it really update or does it necessary ?. I wonder is NOD32 checking on sub. status rather than real update ?

    I must say that I am happy with NOD32 so far.
