Search box does not work in either FF or IE in presence of WSA in my pc. Webroot Support Team member had even remotely accessed my pc to see the prob himself but failed to solve the prob. I had ever since removed the search bar from FF and I rarely use IE.

Sorry to disappoint you my friend but although I run sandboxie I'm currently not sandboxing Firefox.

Wow Dave, you're telepathic. I had indeed fallen asleep. But on the arms of my cute pillow. :D

I'm not worried or anything. I know it's only a convenience feature. And believe me I've got plenty of arsenals at my disposal to scare off most malware. Yes I like to see the checkmarks. And why would I let go of it? I mean this is after all a feature of WSA, right? Even if a convenience feature, but most of all a feature. And I want to use WSA at it's full prime.

I agree - you should be able to use everything. We're still investigating this: between browser updates, search engine changes, OS changes, backend changes, and WSA agent changes, there is a lot of surface area for changes here that we need to work through :)

I checked earlier (with Pale Moon 12.3) on HTTP (Yahoo) searches, and am not seeing any search annotations/ratings, but was on earlier PM builds. However, I believe WSA is still fully protecting browser regardless, as I'm getting lock on tray icon.
I doubt that Pale Moon would be added as an officially supported browser as it is nowhere near popular enough...but you never know, fingers crossed :)

Okay I'll be waiting for any sign of solution that you find. I've also sent you a pm.

    Hi,

So is there any news on this? Any progress in determining the cause or better yet - the solution? The problem is still persistent. I'm using what's in my sig.

    Best Wishes,

WSA will block malicious websites visited using Chrome - it is just the Google search result checkmarks which don't show currently. We're looking into adding this in but it isn't a top priority as we're still blocking any malicious website.

I have installed Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus recently and i noticed that after taking some recent samples from phishtank.com antivirus is blocking everyone of them in Internet Explorer but not anyone in Chrome. I feel that Chrome is unprotected and the antivirus is not doing well monitoring browser. (I dont really care about the green check marks in search results but are wellcome)

Could you let me know what OS you're using and what version of Chrome/if you have any other browser plugins in place?

    Thanks!

Windows XP Home edition 32bit, latest Chrome with EMET protected and Adblock Plus, Search Engine Security addons. To tell you the truth I am impressed by Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus but because chrome is the only browser I use I have some doupts. Thanks in advance.

Could you let me know the exact version of Chrome? I've seen some differences between OSs before.

    Thanks!

That could indeed be relevant, if Chrome is prevented from telling WSA what website it's on. Could you try running it as an administrator briefly to see if that fixes it?

The same problem as admin. I suppose the scanning of everything that is being downloaded from the sites in browser (Chrome) works at least.

Get Process Explorer from Microsoft and check the DLLs that are loaded into the Chrome.exe processes. If you don't see "wrusr.dll" in there, something is blocking WSA from injecting the DLL and thus blinding it to the URL being loaded in Chrome.
