    Hi,
    I just started my PC, and opened my browser, FireFox, and used Google for a serach, and as soon as I got the search result, my Firewall, was asking for outbound connections, on two IP addresses. on port 81.

    Anyone has an idea what it is?

    128.214.112.92:81 Helsinki Institute for Information Technology
    194.80.38.243:81 Lancaster University Computer Centre

    By the way, I run kav, spybot, adware...and my pc is clean....

    Thanks...

    In fact, I'm getting the outbound connection request, on every google search, on port 81, however the IP's are different: 128.31.1.13:81, 171.64.64.217:81.... o_O

    I tried my other browser, Opera, and works fine, without any outbound connection request on port 81. o_O

    Anyone has any explanation?

    Sorry I can't solve your problem but the other two addresses are for education as well

    128.31.1.13:81 = planetlab3.csail.mit.edu
    Massachusetts Institute of Technology

    71.64.64.217 = planetlab-2.stanford.edu
    Stanford University

    Update on previous message

    If you put http://128.31.1.13/ into your web browser you get the Planet web site that gives some advice on your problem

    The other address goes to the google site with this.
    Thank you for participating in our research on network latency discovery!

    Hope this helps
