Running Eset AV and have been without problems.

Noticed today that the buttons with the scan have turned black.

If I have done this right there should be a picture below

Only because I notice regbackup.reg in your pic, have you been doing any registry cleaning ?

Also, if you look in the User interface section below, do you see a check mark in the Graphical user interface selection.
Disregard that the selection is greyed out, lack of a better discription.

    Bubba,
No registry cleaning - that is just a Registry backup file. It is a coincdence that when I took the snapshot it stopped on that file.

The only thing I have done different today is run Nod in safemode - it was fine prior to that.

Along with the thread Ron is linking to, this is one from a few weeks back.

For what ever reason, upon returning from safe mode all Client user interface Dword data values are coming back as zeros or all selections unchecked when looking at Setup > User interface.

What a user can do is then select Default in Setup > User interface and then select Revert only "User interface" settings.... After that a user can either re-boot or bring up Task Manager, end process on egui.exe. While still in Task Manager, the Applications tab, click New Task. In Open, type "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\egui.exe" with quotes and then click OK.

    You are so the man.

Did what you said, without the reboot, and back to normal.

You just put the shine back on a good product :)

    That's always a good thing ;)

Hoefully sooner than later it will be determined what is stripping the Current_User settings related to this issue so users don't have to go that route.
