whois add on for outpost...

can anyone recommend an add-on for outpost that identifies and (if possible) allows me to report the hacker? Mcafee has this feature and I really like it.

Here is a whois plugin for Outpost. I don't believe reporting the IP addresses is possible from the plugin, but there are websites that you can report the address to. Many hackers will spoof their address anyway so reporting is not always accurate.
Also it's not freeware.

 

PCFlank did produce a Whois plugin but I believe that it no longer functions with the current version of Outpost. You can however look up IP address details using a website like DNSStuff or Network Tools.

If you are interested in reporting events from your logs you might want to consider something like what is offered at DShield.org (How to submit your firewall logs to DShield). This is usually more effective than you making reports to your ISP or other ISP's.
