Ok, but with the boot media created by Acronis TI, it's also allowed to make the drive image, or restore them only??
This is very important for me because I want to use the boot media also for making the drive (or partition) image....

Last thing please: Where can I find the trial version of Acronis TI-2013?.....unfortunately on Acronis website there is only
    the new version 2014...

    Zapco,

When my Acronis TI was current I was able to simply login to their website and download the recovery disk ISO, precluding the need to install the software in order to create the boot disk. ;)

Afaik you must have a licensed copy to either create or download the boot disk/iso (and to answer your question, the boot disk provides complete backup and restore functionality).

    PS. Why the 2013 version?

Zapco, TheRollbackFrog is right. Acronis provides at least two ways to obtain the Recovery Media.

    1. Once you create an Acronis account and register with them, you can directly download the recovery media as well as the updated versions as they are released.
    2. You can install TI and then use the create Recovery Media feature.

Then there's other ways if you purchased the PlusPack too (starting with TI 2014, it's called TI Premium): you also get the options to create a BartPE-based or a WinPE-based Recovery Media CD. The standard one is Linux-based.

Ok, perfect!! :thumb: .....Thanks guys, you are very kind!
Certainly I will follow your instructions.

    @Wendi
    Why the 2013 version?

Because I'm convinced that the 2013 version is more "mature" and "proven" than the new version 2014!...So, I can find it again?

Bingo! I took to using the final update of the previous version myself. For instance, when 2013 was out, I was using the final version of 2012.

Finally got tired of the Acronis merry-go-round. 2012 was the last upgrade I've ever purchase from them. Trying out ShadowProtect and Image For Windows now

In this case, you might want to get IFW. I bought IFL v2 in Feb 2008 and have been able to get free update since then.

Just use Seagate DiscWizard or Acronis True Image WD edition. These are rebranded OEM Acronis 2013, using the same imaging tech.. They are free if you have either a Seagate or WD drive in your computer.
