Which version of Mepis Linux is better? I'd rather KDE 3.5 than KDE 4.4. Any answers? And of course - what do you think about Mepis.

Sounds like the one you want is Mepis 8.0 then.... I prefer KDE 4 myself, something new to play with.

For a one man effort, Mepis has always been quite good, nothing cutting edge but if you want a distro that gets its job done, this is the one, no drama, typical workhorse. I would go with KDE 3.5 for stability reason.

I like KDE 3.5 but I think Wireless and Network Printer configuration is better with 4.4.

Hmm, I want to use KDE 3.5.
What distro I should choose? I'm using Linux for a two years. I used: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Debian, Fedora, openSUSE, Mandriva, Mepis, PCLOS. Any suggestions?

If you want KDE 3.5 then use Mepis 8.0.

Debian Lenny is what you're after. Solid as a rock. Plus Lenny will be supported for an age even after Squeeze goes stable.

Failing that Vector has a KDE 3.5 spin.

    Kanotix looks interesting also.

Anyone tried it? I assume it's basically a Lenny livecd on steroids.
