Hi all, I'm new to the forum and wanted to ask you for help in my situation. I intend to buy a new computer and would like to transfer my current system to that computer. My current pc has one SSD with operating system on it and two 1TB HDD's in RAID0. My new pc will also have an SSD for operating system and two HDD's in RAID0. I intend to transfer everything to new pc. Could you tell me which product do I have to buy and explain me the steps of transferring my old pc to the new one? Should I use backup, create a virtual drive or use migrate OS? I intend to use an external HDD to store image from old computer. Thank you for your time. Regards.
To migrate to a different hardware you can use Hard Disk Manager, specifically the "P2P Adjust" function, from a WinPE boot medium. I think the OS has to be deployed first to the new hardware, and then "adjusted" to it using the wizard. "Deploy" means to restore the OS from an image, or to install the "old" boot disk in the new computer. You need the drivers for the new hardware. This is how I understand that this process works, I haven´t done it. I also think that this process is intended as an emergency or temporary solution, not as a permanent one. Another option is to do a virtual migration, there is also a wizard to assist this process.
