Which is better? ESET Smart Security or ESET Antivirus?

    hey with antivirus 4 i can detect a trojan in my boot memory whereaS with eset smart security i cant find anything! :| so which one is actually bettero_O

    They both use the exact same Anti-Virus buddy.

    Eset's antivirus engine is the same as Smart Security's. Smart Security just has more features and a firewall.

    euh none of u answered my question completely.....

    how is it that the trojan is detectable with antuvirus and with smart security when both are the exact same thingo_O?

    Are the settings regarding the Av module the same for both? Sorry to answer a question with a question but I suspect you've altered the settings for either the Av or the suite or both.

    Sure, stay away from ESS unless you want no end of problems, stick to EAV.

    I suggest u reset all ESS4 setting into "default" because ESS4 use the same antivirus engine (NOD32).So maybe your setting got a problem.

    Hello,

    Since ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus use the same anti-malware engine, the only reason I can think of that one program would detect something and another would not is because of a difference in the signatures or in the configuration of the programs.
