Switched to Norton 360 a while ago and haven't looked back since. Its fast, hassle free and the 3 user license was a steal.

Voted Norton IS, (Comcast freebie) really don't care for Security Suites. I prefer windows firewall with other security....

KIS. Used it for several years and always been happy with it. However, the one I am using currently (KIS 2010) will be my last. I feel KIS is going the way of others in the past and becoming bloated..... very bloated. Have tried KIS 2011 and couldn't wait to get it off my PC. I have no use for extras such as Parental Control, IM virus and Anti-Spam. All I ask is that they give me the option of install/not install. They don't any more (they used to) so I'll be on the market for an alternative in a few months when they stop support for 2010. Therefore I'll keep an eye on polls such as this to see what other people think.

Some good suites, but a suite does not have best of breed for every attack type or vector.

    My "suite' is Online Armor Premium, Prevx, Sandboxie, SpywareBlaster, Trojan Remover, and Vidalia Bundle;

plus these tools gmer, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, SUPERAntiSpyware, HousecallLauncher, HitmanPro35, Rootkit Unhooker, System Explorer,

and NirLauncher (with all Nirsoft and Sysintenals apps, sweet,)

Strong IS = Strong AV + Strong FireWall + Strong HIPS

Most of these vendors have a weakness in one part for example :

Comodo , Online Armor , Outpost and PC Tools have Strong Firewall & Strong HIPS but their AV not strong enough

Avira, Smart Security, F-Secure, Panda, AVG, Trend Micro, McAfee & Avast have Strong AV and some of them have good firewall but their HIPS is so weak

I think Only Kaspersky is strong in three parts and it is best IS for now

After that I choose BitDefender and Norton

You must check AV-Comparatives tests and matousec tests (And other tests)

If all of them close together you can see which is better IS

Fist of all I am totally allergic to suite who find it necessary to have a tons of blinking gadgets/toolbars,....... sorry it is not meant to offend anyone it is solely my own personal opinion. My favoritesd is: Eset Smart Security and second is Vipre home premium and third is Webroot SecureAnywhere version 3.9.1.56:)

    Regards

I make my own suites, which are far more effective than any of these.

Any sweet that automatically sandboxes unknown programs is going to be pretty secure. That's why Comodo gets my vote. The firewall is "fluff" and I don't feel that I need it -- I only use it because there's no real reason not to, I have it configured to be very quiet.

I voted for GFI/Sunbelt's VIPRE Premium.
It's the only suite I ever owned, preferring to take the route of compiling suite components myself.
But I wanted one machine to have one program to run alongside Sandboxie.
    VIPRE was my choice.
They have a pretty decent malware removal assistance guarantee...

I prefer the kind of suite that is light on resources and user interaction. They do make such a thing, don't they?

I believe when the poll was started AIS was still pretty new. Maybe there needs to be a new poll now that many of the products have been updated.
