    Hey guys;

    My friend has PentiumII PC.
    His specs:
    PentiumII 266
    ASUS P2L97
    3GB Hard drive (dead at the moment)

    As I mentioned his PC's hard drive is dead. So, I want to buy a new hard drive for his old computer. Which hard drive will be ok? I can live with 40-80GB size. Will this old motherboard support new hard drive? What do you guys think?

    Hello, i doubt the motherboard will support much more than what you have, mabey upto 10gb, depending on what country you live in, you can buy or build a good PC for about $500 (australia).

    Have a look on Ebay or ask you local PC shop about second hand gear, ive just built my neice a system for $550, AMD 2200,40gb hdd,512ddr ram, 128mb GC.

    Old PC's like the one you have are not really worth mucking around with.
