Which free antivirus do you recommend?

    Good evening, I would like to install a free antivirus on my laptop Toshiba Satellite L655, but it must be not too heavy.
    Unfortunately I'm not informed about the current AV, because it's a long time since I do not follow the security software evolution!
    A few years ago I remember that Avira was the best of free antivirus, followed by Avast and AVG ..... but then what is the situation now?
