    I have recieved a free key from Webroot for their firewall. I have also read a few things on Vipre being pretty calm as far as resources go. This leads me to my questions.

    How good is Vipre compared to KAV?
    How good is Webroot Firewall compared to Comodo Firewall?
    How much system resources do Vipre and Webroot Firewall consume a piece?
    Which is the better setup as far as stability, ease of use, and compatibility goes?

    The mods will close this down as it will be perceived as one versus another type of thread so let me suggest you trial the choices you have in mind.

    Well Vipre really hasn't been tested by anybody so far as I know, so I don't know how you would compare it to KAV in terms of being "good"..

    I thought its been out awhile. I figured a security forum such as this would have had atleast one person test it out.

    this maybe closed soon but i am going to say this;
    avira/avast/avg are the top free products for av and comodo firewall and hips are also very popular and known to be affective. for antivirus comparison check out here however since they are free you can try them out as much as you want.
    if you are looking for paid software all of the 3 free antivirus softwares have improved paid versions and suites
