Quick question. Which file correlates to on-access scanning when downloading files using a download manager?

Download Express was previously configured to point to the correct file to scan downloads but since updating to the new version I received an error message as that file had been replaced.

    The new file is ecls.exe

This thread has some info on setting up scanning for IM transfers (but also works for download managers).

I am new to NOD32. Your post has brought a question to mind.

If ekrn.exe is filtering all the traffic from the internet to my computer shouldn't it catch the bad guys before, after or as it's downloading?

This assumes that web access protection is enabled.

    Thanks,
    Stan
