    Hi,

I'm fairly comfortable with most day to day malware maintenance and Avast has served me well over time, but apparently I managed to invite something into my system that has taken ownership of Avast, MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware.

At this point it appears that even Avast's rootkit detection is being defeated by it and I don't know where to start to look for those skilled enough to direct me in using rootkit tools effectively.

Can someone suggest if there's a particular forum here at Wilder or another location better suited to this nasty task? I would dearly appreciate any help or suggestions to get me to someone with ample experience.

    Regards,

    Mike

Try sysinternals forums or kernelmodeinfo forums.
