Where do you download your software from?

    Just kidding. Usually I go the author's site as I can be reasonably sure it's the latest version, otherwise one of the places already mentioned. I haven't given much thought to settling on a standard place to get it.

    BTW, Steam is going to be offering non-game software soon. That will be interesting to watch, but if they require the client to be running like with the games, I won't be using it.

    The developer's site and MajorGeeks.

    Downloaddotcom used to be pretty good a very long time ago but it lost major points due to them using their own installer. Not to be trusted imho.
