when will they cease support 2 Mcafee 7.x ?

I am thinking 2 use this product but i am not sure of its life cycle end coz i didn't got any answer from searching Mcafee's site about it so i am asking here this question:

To when i can still update automatically (using the program's automatic update)both the virus definations and scanner engine and will it happen someday that they 'll cease my update process and prevent me from automatically downloading virus definations coz of e.g. outdated product or product support has been ended

Another question that may help me figure out what's going on:

DO Mcafee 9.0 Updates can be used with version 7.x ? If this is true then i won't worry about virus definations of 7.x

Anyway i am waiting for more thoughts from u peeps...

 

mcafee ver.7 uses the same scan engine and the same def files as 8.0 and 9.0. have a look at this thread link

You can continue to use 7 as long as your DAT license is up to date once you license expires that ill be it.
