I was curious, what should I check. Coz when I changed my old Gigabyte mb into asus the monitor in my pc was all black, it didn't even beep but the pc is running...the light of the mb inside is on, the fan is running etc...but no beep on the start and monitor is black.

    :doubt:

Hi there.Given the sparse information I'll hazard a guess.
Check to make sure that the CPU,RAM and any peripheral cards are seated correctly and are fully compatible with the mobo (and if required any jumpers are set correctly). Also a faulty CPU can cause this problem.Sorry if that doesn't help but there's not a lot to go on.

are you using the same video card?
If you are using onboard graphics, windows probably doesn't have the drivers. See if you can bootup to the safemode then load your drivers.

Also use any bootcd (preferably linux), to bootup your computer this will test your hardware. If you get something to show on your monitor, you can rule out a hardware problem.
