    Pros:
Its extremely good, it uses very low amounts of system CPU while running programs, as an example I have Norton Internet Security 2007 installed and right now Windows task Manager reports the CPU usage as 628k, Yes! I did say 628k, this is not a mistake :D every other program is running extremely low on cpu usage the highest cpu user is Internet explorer at 31,142k Webroot Spy Sweeper uses 1,698k Windows explorer uses 10,144k, as you ca nsee these are extremely low.

Cons: Some drivers are still not yet readily available, such as Creative Sound Blaster, which is still Beta, and HP Printer/Scanner/Copier software, which HP refuse to update.

Vista is still relatively brand new, but in the next month or so, it should be firing on al cylinders

    Hello,
I think you should rely on a statistical pool of more than one. The bare minimum is three systems.

    Hello,
You had a positive experience. Good. But that's not enough. You need at least three independent systems to be able to draw the least bit of conclusions.

This may be slightly off topic, but Apple has come out with a hilarious ad poking fun at Vista's UAC. Funny part is I think they hit the nail on the head.

    Hello,

I did test this crappunker. It brings nothing new or innovative to the world of computing. It was not a disaster - but it was a disappointment. Five years gone into: forcing you to use 2x hardware you have, being more DRMed, being BORGed to MS, annoying UAC that asks everything twice ... hardly something worth the investment.

People are dazzled by the black task bar and a shiny wallpaper. Take this off, switch to classic view, then test the new operating system.

As to the statistics, when 10-20-60 people report the same experience, you can see the trend, you can take certain claims to be facts. A single user may be extremely lucky or extremely unlucky. Does that mean you should base your choices on the single binary variable - good/bad?

This does not mean DVD+R does not enjoy his new OS. On the contrary. But it is a single user, single machine report. Not enough to draw conclusions either way.

But if you look at the poll about Vista and see what people say, quite a few votes actually, this will be a much better indicator of what to expect.

i was reading about vista at the winsupersite by Paul Thurrott.
it seems somethings like the power states should of worked in xp but dont but are now fixed in vista.
also if you go to lunch come back to your pc it can fell slow for while in XP.
but in vista its fixed and the pc can work right away with no slow feel after lunch due to super fletch.
the stupid thing is these little things should of been fixed in xp and not just fixed in vista:D
after a while people will get bored of the vista look at start using windowblinds or similar app again.
if my pc was working better i would use my windowblinds on xp again.

This is why Vista feels like a expensive Service Pack of XP.
And Vienna will be the Service Pack of Vista rebranded as new OS
