Someone please recommend me a good FREE Uninstaller program.

I used to use Your! Uninstaller....but noticed that it would leave a lot of registry entries behind and also would delete files NOT relating to the application it has just removed from the system.

I know there is an OLD, FREE version of Total Uninstall. How does it stack up against the current paid version?

I've also heard of a few more....but I'm not sure which one is the BEST one out there.

I'm just looking for something that does a better job than he standard Windows XP Add/Remove feature.

    Thanks.

CCleaner is the only one that hasn't "failed me"...

Thanks. Is this better than the FREE (old) version of Total Uninstall?

Both ZS & TU-2.34 do a thorough job of uninstalling programs for which they monitored the installation. ZS is a bit *safer* from the stand-point that it requests user confirmation before uninstalling each & every significant item. TU-2.34 asks permission in fewer cases.

However, in ~4 years of using TU (before I started using ZS) I never had TU screw anything up.

For those who want to try them...
    Total Uninstall 2.34

    ZSoft

    And the NON-free good schtuff...
    TrashIt

    Total Uninstall 4.11

And the old stand-by that I STILL find use for on rare occasions...
JoneSoft Uninstall Cleaner-- In addition to uninstalling software, it will identify and allow you to remove orphaned entries, add new entries and modify existing entries in the Add/Remove list.
