I have more problems with parental control which is blocking every website. For the rest I don't have any problems. I am using BitDefender Internet Security 2008.
The update problem should be fixed it was at least for one person that hasn't the high cpu load anymore after the release of the new versions. You can see it here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=2184

The update bug seems indeed one on my computer. Plus I see there was another big update today brigning the version to 11.0.12. We'll see if that one fix some more stuff.

Same problems with BD, but these was on "beta2" releases!

I also got problems, but on BDefender's v11-b2 copies. Lots of annoyances and the most annoying was that BSoD!!

It happen on new clean-installed rigs (2 at 24hrs apart), pre-WinSEC updating using base-IE6 (another on IE7)!

Am wondering if it's gotta do with inherent OS' "buffer-overrun" issues?

What problems do you have? You really need to uninstall the previous BitDefender versions with this tool: http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall I made these topics for reporting all issues: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=1731 possible incomptabilities
    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=1729 program bugs

Attention BitDefender users upgrading from any/all releases to any BD 2008 software:

Niels is 110% correct in recommending that all previous BD software be uninstalled via the the BD Unistall tool at: http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall.

I had nothing but problems with BD ISS 2008 UNTIL I unistalled the previous BD ISS V10 via the uninstall tool on two different systems; simply removing previous BD software via "Add/Remove Programs" does NOT clean up all traces of previous BD software. Since running the Unistall Tool and reinstalled BD ISS 2008, it has been working very well for me (knock on wood).

After re-reading my previous post, I realize that I often can't spell "uninstall" properly......;)
