    In theory, thee drives offer lots of everything but in reality, most of them are still rather slow, those that do achieve good results will naturally cost you a hart, liver, lung and one kidney. But it makes lots of sense for laptopbs and netbooks because they are shock proof.

    I really do hope that SSDs will be cheaper and has more capacity 5 years from now. While hard drives are manufactured with precision electronics, I've been seeing the failure rates climb up, especially with the ones that have massive capacity (>=750GB). This is probably due to cramming more and more electronics/mechanical parts (i.e. platters, heads, etc) in a small enclosure (3.5 in).
