Recently someone posed the question (I paraphrase) "What is your favorite app or what app can't you live without?" I had a hard time answering that as there are several that are tied for that honor. But make no mistake about it, I know exactly what I miss since building a 64bit W7 machine in May. It would be the convenience of CoTimeMachine, but even more so RegSeeker, since I could always pay for RbRX or the fact it takes less than four minutes to make a Paragon image and around five to restore it. I never had an issue with RS, as I only used its search feature and only deleted items that definitely listed the target of my search. I suppose some of the "un-installers" like Revo might work like RS but haven't tried them.

When I went to 7 x64, I missed the old Kerio firewall(s) for a while.... That's about it I guess. Been on 7 now for almost 3 years and don't miss anything anymore....

I still have Windows XP installed, but not to run XP only programs. I just happen to like XP over Windows 7 or 8. Everything I have will run on Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Unless older games count, nothing. Most applications went to Windows 7 just fine, and those that didn't were probably dying at the time anyway.

I've never had a problem with backwards compatibility except for old school games.

I up-graded to WIN 7 - x64. DefenseWall is a x32 bit application. Admittedly, not part of XP but its what i miss the most so I tossed it in.

There's nothing I miss. Everything I need runs just fine under Windows 7.

    - Kerio 2, Ghostwall, Process Guard. (golden oldies, simple and light as feather).
    - FirstDefence Rescue. (unlike Rollback RX, it had no problem with defragging and wasn't phoning home at boot).
