This poll is to show the version of Adobe Reader that the users of Adobe Reader use.

Also, Does the new version 10 have any major bugs or performance issues since it is a new release? Does version 10 offer any major improvements over previous versions (ie: version 8/9)? Do you think it's worth to upgrade to version 10 (security reasons??)

Edit: This article suggests Adobe Reader 10's sandbox feature may actually decrease security by introducing more exploits. What do you think?

Adobe Acrobat Pro X (10.0.0.396) is greatly improved release compared to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended. It has introduced sandbox for pdf files (like Chrome and Office 2010) and is enabled by default. It means bugs will be mitigated due to sandbox. Moreover, it is much faster now, less GUI cluster with added useful features, and supports latest MS technologies of Windows 7, i.e., DEP, SEHOP, and ASLR. I have already upgraded to Pro X and it is running smooth and fast. I feel much secured now against pdf exploits.

I am using Adobe Reader 10 (Adobe Reader X), but, while moving the mouse cursor over the PDF files, I notice that antivirus scan files longer than was the case with Adobe Reader 9 !?

The same issue occurs with Avira and Avast. Interesting, the issue occurs with Adobe Reader X and Sumatra, for example. Does not occur with Adobe Reader 9 and PDF X-Change. o_O

Because it is light and fast, and I don't need all of the "features" that come with the latest versions - I use it just as a basic Reader.

I finally realized that the problem is not related to antivirus software but to PDF reader software. Simply, each time I drag the mouse over a pdf file send clock icon appears on 2-3 seconds. This is not a big problem, but it is a little annoying. This happens in some PDF readers (Adobe Reader X, Sumatra). In Adobe Reader 9 or PDF X-Change the issue does not occur.

USA still the best. But barely.
NONE. Sumatra is in use on all the computers I get my sticky little hands on. And Mud is uninstalled.
