Just lately when Starting up my computer for the first time of the day, One of thos popup Information boxes jumps onto my desktop with the exclamation sound, and reports NOD32 has been updated to **** and waits for me to click OK,at the same time, the popup display from the NOD32 taskbar icon tells me the definitions have been updated to *** then goes away, but this windows popup box does not go away untill I click ok. What The Hell is going on Now
So as not to assume wrongly....is "windows popup box" referring to a balloon pop-up or an actual "windows popup". Are you using windows scheduler for certain Nod tasks ? If possible when the windows popup box is present....could you Alt+Print Screen and post that pic as an attachment Please.
I have had this from to time. Normally the bubble appears in the system tray, but from time to time (5 times over last 12 months) you actually get a box appear in the middle of the screen which, as stated, doesn't go away until you click OK. I suspected it was more a Windows that NOD32 thing. If others get it too, then maybe the problem does lie within NOD32.
Hi Interesting. This happened for the first time to me yesterday but also the Windows prompt to switch to automatic updates appeared in the very top left of the screen rather than in the system tray. Just assumed it was a Windows glitchy/ buggy thing
Hello, Was the NOD32 Control Center active at the time the message was displayed? Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
No, Aryeh, In my case it was only when Windows Started up for the first time of the day, after the Computer was Shut Down ( It does not happen on reboot) The NOD32 Balloon Tip explaining NOD had been updated successfully, and Then a Box in the Middle of the Screen (Like an Error Message, but not an Error) This Windows box also states NOD has been updated. I uninstalled NOD and reinstalled, and it has stopped (for now)
Not in my case. Machine has generally been running all day then all of a sudden the message pops up. It isn't a big issue, only caused a problem once as I was using a macro to replay some steps as part of testing something and the box in the middle of the screen was unexpected. Just interesting that a few of us have come across it, but could still be a windows thing as, despite all the different configurations in the world, I am sure some one off events could affect more than 1 of us.
