Looks like the gloves are off at Grisoft.
You might see ~ Removed Posted Link to Possible Malware as per Policy ~
example of rigorous journalistic integrity if you go to a popular software distribution website to download Avast.

Okay. Looks like it depends on where you are.

If that's been officially sanctioned by AVG,it's rather sad.
It appears that the Symantec negative ad. campaigning style has caught on.:(

Before this turns into the thread I think it will, check the link address...does that REALLY look like anything sanctioned? That took about 2 minutes to put up, likely. By the way, the claim is total BS also. Up until recently, I used Avast for a LONG time, and it NEVER failed to throw up a big warning and siren when I hit a malicious webpage or link. Everyone who has ever used Avast knows this. Sit and think about the claim and the link the claim is on before running off and slapping AVG around.

Well as I stated If it was official it's sad.I wasn't able to investigate any further due to the link being broken when clicking download. It's a possibility of course that this is some form of rogue activity since I could find no mention of this advert elsewhere, who knows.

Also yes it's clearly factually incorrect that Avast isn't able to detect such threats,I know which one of the two I'd rely most upon.

yep, i get that same alert-screen with Prevx aswell.

i chose to trust Prevx as ive never seen SafeOnline do this with a domain before,

i blocked it and prevx closed my browser for safety. :D

To err on the side of caution, since Prevx is throwing up an alert, the posted link has been removed.

May I remind all Wilders members that it's against policy to post links to possible malware. This thread is closed!
