I think that it's unnecessary with my current setup and my computing practices.

How comes? I don't see SBIE or anything similar in your signature :)

You need to be logged in to Wilders now to see signatures. That changed with the new website.

ams963 still doesn't have Sandboxie in his signature and I doubt hqsec wrote his post without being logged in ;)

As FleischmannTV pointed out I can see signatures. I was just wondering why ams963 advises me to use SBIE, yet they don't use it. ;)

Calm down my friends. I do use Sbie. I've been using it for a long time. I have kept it permanently in my desktop. It's on and off in the laptop or more precisely netbook. I also use MBAM Pro and Hitman Pro as on-demand scanners, Drive Snapshot for backup and a couple of cloud storage services, Lastpass, ABP and NoScript as add-ons. I don't include all these in my sig because I thought it would clutter. Also because I love WSA. I wanted to spread the word you know.;) That being said, I try to recommend all the other products and services mentioned as much as I can. :)

Also I try to recommend or suggest based on my own experience. I don't consider myself techie enough to recommend based on any other method.

No prob. We all are here to share our experiences and learn.:):thumb:

WSA simply is the fastest and lightest out there. It's strength in preventing, detecting and removing threats is increasing incredibly with each passing day. It also offers one of the best support if not the best. WSA is extremely user friendly and I don't even know it's there.

Well that's enough for me.:) But to each his own. WSA is not perfect nor is any security product and cannot satisfy or make everybody happy. It's just the best for me.:)

It sure works for me! Like you said, not perfect but I prefer it after trying most of the others. Kind of addictive with the speed. But it's not the only game in town...quite a few good ones! IMHO

I have added Outpost Security Suite Pro as an on demand scanner since I had an existing lifetime licence.

    My Current Setup:

    On Access Protection
    None

    Proactive Protection
    Outpost Security Suite Pro

    Download Scans
Baidu Antivirus (Downloads are automatically scanned upon completion.)

    Firewall
    Outpost Security Suite Pro

    On Demand Scans
    Outpost Security Suite Pro
    Baidu Antivirus
    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (v2.x)

I have had issues with slowdowns with previous versions of Outpost which is why I have real time protection disabled.

What is "Trick 1803"? I often see such "tricks" posted in here as well, like "Trick 1036" (random example) and never have any idea what the people are talking about. My curiosity finally got the better of me here.

    Thanks in advance
