Testing Both MAMUTU w/ Threatfire 4's latest update release together.

Verdict: NO conflicts, no real redundancy, and TF4 is overcome it's previous "lag" i experienced with the version before.

Plus i finally gotten used to it's AV integration since it doesn't overpower performance.

That was exactly my point on several occasions in the past. You will also notice the sigs of many members here. Why they do it, I don't have the slightest clue.

But most of them are just playing around with security, unfortunately... Living in some kind of imaginary fortresses fighting imaginary warfares.

Theres nothing imaginary when it comes to malicious forced content and being equipped with just the right combination of tools to lock out those potential threats that might disrupt user's good machines.

In all my many different combinations, this one i favor most. Now keep in mind, i'm treating in my research as though there is no such thing as a sandbox or virtual rollback system, but rather am concentrating on the abilities of basic security apps, and this is the one that seems to have suit my conscience best with positive results.

ProcessGuard 1.50 + Real-Time defender + my choice between either MAMUTU or Threatfire's latest 4 version BB along with Script Trap & snoopfree.

I set PG to guard against application launches so i can see what processes are starting and verify them as allowable or not. Also at anytime AND ON THE FLY, i could check the 3 other tighter configs in PG to even better lock down driver, Physical memory Access, dll loadings but i don't. Why? Because either or both MAMUTU watches out for injections/modifications as well as Threatfire 4, and top those off with Script Trap handling interrupting scripting files perfectly.

Theres even better set ups then this i'm sure, but this is so basic and extremely lite and stable on my XP Pro. NO SRP/LUA whatsover. I could even add if needed Avira AV to complete this circle of fire!

    You addressing to me?

A "research"o_O You do have a lot of spare time, don't you?

What this EASTER? A personal rant? Showing off? What?
I honestly try to see a purpose to your posts, but you're giving me hard times here...

Calm down a little will ya?

Every member here is consistenly jockying for that ideal configuration that is as close to failproof as any. And this is exactly what my own approach is all about. No showing off, just a practice in combining various scenarios that stand up best to all sorts of malware/viruses without the neccessity of a Virtual System, Sandbox, or LUA/SRP.

With the resources of many different products available, the combinations are many but the highest percentage of solid protections are a balancing act at best. But the goal can be reached.

    REGARDS EASTER

OK EASTER, I crossed the line a bit, I admit. An unnecessary post and I do apologize. Do your own thing. In the end we are all entitled to it.

    Cheers,

It's no biggie and no offense taken.

I also have a tendency to overeact myself, especially when mixing and matching so many security apps always anticipating reaching that perfect medium of full coverage & control with the bare neccessities of what we have at our disposal without having to rest in the comforts of virtual systems or sandboxes, which i think is the easy way out. I prefer to pit basic security apps up against the most extreme of potentials from malware and weigh the results whether or not the choice combination is enough or not.

    Regards EASTER

It gives more popups, but it runs light and fine here. Also I like the fact that the popups are more informative. Try it yourself.:D
