Mine as of posting is the pathethic 0.0444

That's probably one of the lowest ratio for a senior member, and probably for all members.

who has the highest karma ratio? For different classes of course.

I think anyone averaging >0.1 is doing great.

PS Thank god there isn't negative karma anymore, the last time i checked i was barely positive overall.

Just guessing: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/index.php?action=viewprofile;user=Uffbros must be one of the highest in the ratio ranking, but that's partly due to the fact that most of his posts get deleted (update forum).

    Try it. It might work.

It certainly won't raise your post count much. :D

Well, Jay, I have over 1000 posts and I don't think I consider myself any sort of expert; my knowledge is limited but I come here to ask when I need to know something, and if I am online enough I hop in and answer any "easy" questions that I am absolutely certain I know the answer to. Of course, this normally entails my answering a question that I asked here once upon a time and learned how to fix my problem.

Overall, I enjoy this forum and the people in it so I discuss and post here whenever I can, although I've been a bit busy as of late... In fact I must finish writing another paper in the next few hours

Anyway, if you feel someone has answered a question in such a way described in your post, you could always just reply with your opinion including a statement that you feel something else which has been suggested is not necessary. I do think it can be done (by all) in a way which doesn't offend the other parties in the thread. Honestly, I haven't found this forum to be very "confrontational" in nature and most people really are willing to listen to reason.

o_O As someone explained to me on these forums a while back, you get a Karma cookie when someone clicks on your Applaud button. Well, I don't have an applaud button and still get Karma cookies .... hmmmm, so how do you figure that oneo_O?

You do have an applaud button. I can see yours in the same place (under your Karma) just like you can see everyone elses. You just can't see your own. It would be fun if you could give yourself cookies ;), but it doesn't work that way. :'( At least you can't be "smited" anymore.

Oh I almost forgot. As of this post, 0.11 :D

You do have an applaud link under your name, it's just that you can't see it. Check out this post (reply #7).

At the time of this reply, including this post its 37%(0.3708...), 79 karma versus 213 posts.

I mostly pop in on issues with the other firewalls forum, and I'm sure there are many people who participate more than myself in these forums with a higher ratio.

Actually focusing on only one forum, and answering only questions about something you know very well is a pretty smart idea if you want a high karma to post ratio.

Blowing posts on irrelevant social stuff like in ten forward, seriously hurts your ratio.
