    Hi everybody!

What is the most secure method to connect to another computer not being on same wi-fi ? Is it by a simple remote desktop connection? If so how to secure such a connection ? Is it better to use a software and if so, which one provide safe remote desktop control?
I kindly ask forum experts to provide a how to guide or recomendation for available secure software .
Thank you very much for your time and support!

Use an IPSEC VPN. That's how companies secure their connections between computers. Many products out there, both paid and free to do this.

For work, we use LogMeIn (paid NOT free.) For personal, I use TeamViewer (free for personal use.) Either one can be up and running in a very short time and are easy to use (TeamViewer is VERY easy.) I am very pleased with both.

I simply want to securely* access my pc from a distance and be able to share files and continue work on destination pc.

By securely* i mean an encrypted data traffic transfer.

    Thank you!

At work we use VPN + RDC to access remote computers and servers. If our customer doesn't have VPN enabled then we use RDC or TeamViever.

I need to connect to another computer too.

I have several HDDs in the PC and i intend to organize HDDs/Folders/Files remotely.

    For example, copy files/folders from D: (Hdd2) to E: (Hdd3), delete files/folders, or rename file/folders.

    Which program do you recommend?

    Team viewer, or other?

    Thanks.
