    I have a Linksys WRT54G running on DD-WRT. No problems with it.

    only used d-link not bad, thompson poo, and netgear which i use now had no trouble with in 3 years

    Currently using ASUS WL-500W running on DD-WRT, and happy with the setup.

    I'm running a Speedstream 6520 at the moment because it's the one my ISP gave me.It is hooked into my phone jack.I also have a Linksys wrt54g if I decides to go back to cable internet.

    It depends, what defines best, easiest to set up, best protection, wireless, encryption, speed, signal b, g or n? Hopefully all of these but most importantly whatever works best for you. The home and network may dictate to what you should purchase. Perhaps your a prolific P2Per - some may not handle this well where others I've seen have this in mind with even there own storage...think about how you use your computer, decide what your network looks like then compare.

    Side-by-side comparisons help, on-line or mags. Some of the UTM manufacturers also make some nice modem routers - Zyxel, Netgear...
