What is stored in ntuser.dat?

    What is stored in the file ntuser.dat? I know it stores user profiles, but what information is actually in there? Is it another damn usage track?

    As you mentioned....it stores user profiles ....and in particular stores the user's personal settings in the Registry under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER root key. You'll also find an Ntuser.dat file in each user's profile directory.

    Does it have usage track ?....sure....and one example is MRU's(Most Recently Used) info.
