What is one security program you can't do without?

    I have two candidates:

    1) The router it is "programable"
    2) OP FW Pro with ip blocking list

    Thus I have a hw and a sw component.

    The OP did not ask for The One Solution. He asked us to list, "what one security program you can't do without".
    I can't do without Sandboxie, but I don't even consider it to be The One Solution.
    As justenough stated, one's security setup can be built around SBIE.
    It's entirely possible to not be able to do without a security program that isn't The One Solution... say for example, WinPatrol or MBAM.
    At least that's how I see it. ;)

    Nice one, I use MBAM free as an on-demand scanner. That is something I usually never exclude from my setups.

    The one security program I have on all of my computers, except Android, is Sandboxie. DefenseWall comes in a very close second.

    Sandboxie, it has served me well. Not only with preventing drive by malware from escaping my browser but by allowing me to install directly into the sandbox. Have an app you want to test but not leave traces on your system if it sucks bollocks? Throw it in sandboxie. It not only secures my browser but my PDF Readers and other potentially vulnerable programs as well. Want a program to run without internet access? You can block it in sandboxie.

    No drive by attacks.
    No traces from programs.
    No unintended IPC.
    Everything can be gone in a flash if you wish it.

    Sandboxie is beautiful.

    I always did like GeSWall... ran it for almost 2 years, and was happy with Brian's support. If I wasn't running SBIE, I'd probably be relying on GeSWall. :thumb:

    :thumb: Same here. If I hadn't found sandboxie, I would be using geswall. Even though it isn't maintained, its still rock solid.

    I used GeSWall myself for a short while...and longer on my wife's machine back when Sandboxie was going through some issues with the Synaptics mouse driivers...but I never found it particularly easy to set up the rules initially.

    That said, it worked very well once I did have it set up.
